Royal Caribbean Introduces it's Newest Ship, Freedom of the Seas.

Is bigger better? Freedom of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in the world. Think massive, awe-inspiring, stimulating, magnificent and enormous. Royal Caribbean launched the Freedom of the Seas in June 2006. Freedom of the Seas is probably the world's most anticipated cruise ship since Cunard's Queen Mary 2. It's name was chosen deliberately to convey the enormity of features and amenities offered on this extraordinary ship.

This class of ship represents an evolutionary change in shipbuilding. Onboard the Freedom you will find the line's big ship hallmarks such as the ice-skating rink, rock-climbing wall, Royal Promenade and inline skating rink. You'll also find it to be the most innovative ship in the world.

Innovative concepts of the Freedom of the Seas:
- FlowRider R is the first ever surf park at sea.
- H2O Zone waterpark complete with interactive sculpture fountains, ground geysers and a cascading waterfall.
- Cantilevered whirlpools, extending 12 feet beyond the sides of the ship and 112 feet above the water.
- Full-size, flat-screen TVs in every stateroom.
- Full-size Everlast boxing ring, full-size sports court and a sports pool.

Every stateroom is designed to be a comfortable, relaxing place to rest after all those adventures and offers a television, telephone, private bath, shower, vanity and even a hair-dryer. Everything from a Presidential Suite sleeping 14 people, Family Suites to Family Staterooms are available.

The presidential suite is the largest ever on a Royal Caribbean ship. Not only does it have 1,215 square ft. (the balcony measures an additional 810 square ft.), it also has four bedrooms and four full baths. The verandah is complete with a whirlpool, wet bar, alfresco dining, and loungers for just about everyone.

Itinerary
Freedom of the Seas is sailing seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami calling in Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Royal Caribbean's private destination, Labadee, Hispaniola.

For Honeymooners and Destination Weddings: Freedom of the Seas has many amenities for honeymooners that make this ship a great choice. The ship is large enough to have something of interest for everyone yet offers a level of privacy that honeymooners sometimes miss on a smaller ship.

What's next?
Royal Caribbean’s second Freedom class ship, Liberty of the Seas, will debut in May 2007. A third Freedom class ship, Independence of the Seas, is scheduled to follow in May 2008.

Freedom of the Seas Featured in TV Show

Royal Caribbean International's Freedom of the Seas was showcased nationwide on the premiere of "Great Cruises: Freedom of the Seas with Samantha Brown" on the Travel Channel. Brown escorts viewers through a tour of the Freedom's Western Caribbean ports of call and the ship's onboard diversions such as the FlowRider surf simulator, the H20 Zone family water park, the boxing ring and production shows. Viewers also get a glimpse of "off limit" areas such as the bridge and engine room. Shoreside, Brown gives viewers tours of Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay and Royal Caribbean's private destination, Labadee, Haiti.
