Discover Florida's Paradise Coast
Beautiful beaches, legendary natural attractions and a cosmopolitan cultural scene make this Gulf Coast region a perfect vacation destination.
Located on the Gulf of Mexico and edged on the south and east by the vast Everglades, the Paradise is an idyllic winter getaway. Here, you'll find all kinds of things to do, from basking on sunny beaches and kayaking tranquil waterways to shopping, gallery-hopping and checking out a world-class array of restaurants and culture.
Naples, the region's centerpiece, is not your average beach town. Yes, its long, sandy stretches are beautiful, but the small, sophisticated city also offers outstanding, upscales shopping (as well as consignment shops with designed goods for bargain prices) and a lively arts community (named "The #1 Small Art Town in America").
If you want total relaxation in a tropical setting, spend time on Marco Island, wherre you'll find some of the region's most beautiful beaches. Or head west for laid-back Everglades City, gateway to Everglades National Park, stone-crab capital of the world and site of the Annual Everglades Seafood Festival.
At days end, the most popular spot is the landmark Naples Pier, where you can watch the sun go down in a blaze of glory!
Naples, Marco Island and the Everglades offers beautiful sunsets, white sand beaches, golf, shopping, family attractions, romantic escapes, excellent dining and a wealth of outdoors and nature-centered pursuits.

The Paradise Coast's Must-sees
1. Naples Beach: It's easy to see why the Travel Channel named this America's Best All-Around Beach in 2005. With 22 miles of sugar-white sand, it offers no end of ideal basking spots. Plus, the calm blue-green Gulf Coast waters are inviting year-round.
2. Marco Island: The largest of the Ten Thousand Islands, this laid-back Gulf Coast paradise is a Florida classic. Located 20 miles south of Naples, it offers beautiful beaches, great shelling, awesome watersports and access to the Everglades waterways.
3. Naples Zoo: Located in an historic 52-acre old-growth botanical garden, the zoo is a lush, lovely escape. Here you can cruise past the lake islands that serve as cage-free homes for the zoo's primates, see lions and bears or take an after-dark zoo tour.
4. Everglades National Park: Don't miss a chance to visit this legendary Florida preserve. The Gulf Coast Visitor Center, the western entrance to the park, is located in nearby Everglades City.
5. Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary: For easy access to the region's natural splendors, visit this close-to-town preserve. You'll experience instant tranquility as you hike the boardwalk that runs through a cypress forest.
6. Old Naples: The historic heart of the city is a pedestrian-friendly shopper's paradise. Browse the boutiques along Fifth Avenue South, the galleries on Third Street South or sit down in a sidewalk cafe and enjoy a glass of wine.
